The Africa Circle of Hope Education Scholarship Fund

Give Hope for a Better Future

Three students were recently awarded Africa Circle of Hope Scholarships. Two of these students, Erick and Felistus, began their studies in August at Catholic University of Eastern Africa(CUEA) in Nairobi. Erick will major in Computer Science and Felistus is studying Social Work. They were chosen as the best students from the Good Samaritan Children's Home in Mathare.

With your generous support of our educational scholarship fund, these students will have an opportunity to complete their education and the ability to contribute to the social and economic development of their commmunity. The Africa Circle of Hope Scholarship provides tuition, fees, books, and lodging for these students. CUEA is also contributing a portion of their tuition. Our thanks to the Rector/Vice Chancellor of CUEA for his support and leadership with this project.

After volunteering at Good Samaritan for more than 13 years, Hellen has an Africa Circle of Hope Scholarship to study at the Kenya Institute of Social Work and Community Development in Nairobi. Her education helps to develop leadership and staff competencies to ensure the sustainability of Good Samaritan over many years. Hellen is going to school and also continuing to volunteer at Good Samaritan. She brings new skills and knowledge directly from the classroom to the daily operations of the facility and care of the children.

We congratulate these three students and wish them well in their studies. They are thankful for this opportunity and eager to learn. Watch for statements from them in coming months.

Donate to the Africa Circle of Hope Education Scholarship program to help young people move out of poverty, reach their dreams and contribute to a better world.
