Sally Christiansen - President and Treasurer

Ms. Christiansen, co-founder of ACOHF, has extensive management, operations, and quality process experience from 35 years with Sears Roebuck & Co. where she served as a manager and senior executive. She applies her corporate business experience and leadership skills to operations of the Foundation as president and treasurer. Her current profession as a documentary photographer helps educate the public about the impact of AIDS and poverty in Africa.
Dr. Patricia Kay Felkins - Vice President

Dr. Felkins, co-founder of ACOHF, is an organizational development consultant with expertise in communication, marketing, and public relations. She is an associate professor in the School of Communication at Loyola University Chicago and author of several books on organizations and community. Dr. Felkins travels to Kenya to coordinate and monitor programs, and facilitate collaborative relationships for educational and economic development initiatives. With her substantial leadership experience with grassroots community programs and applied educational research, she contributes to the international efforts represented by Africa Circle of Hope.
Dr. Raymond Sambuli Mosha - Director

Born and raised in Tanzania, E. Africa, Dr. Mosha was founder and, from 2001-2006, Director of Tumaini Vocational Training and Community Development Center, in Arusha, Tanzania. Dr. Mosha is known for his leadership in local and national initiatives to improve the quality of life for children, youth and families living in poverty. He holds the Ph.D. and three Masters degrees and has taught in Tanzania, Kenya and in the U.S. at several major universities, including DePaul University Chicago where he is teaching at this time. Dr. Mosha has authored book chapters, books and articles related to African educational systems, indigenous knowledge and wisdom, and spirituality.
Rev. Marilyn Brenchley - Director

Rev. Brenchley is a longtime resident of Kenya, who is a respected community leader in educational and development initiatives in the rural Meru district. Her efforts work include working with primary and secondary schools as well as universities and technical colleges, educational scholarships, women’s cooperatives, mission programs, and cultural centers. Ms. Brehnchley is also Co-Founder of the Thiiri Center for Culture, Music and Community Development in Meru, Kenya.
Joyce Khanyunya Mosha - Director

Ms. Mosha is a Kenyan with experience in both Kenya and Tanzania in organizing and sustaining women’s initiatives. Her proven competencies are related to women’s cooperatives, local entrepreneurship, vocational training, and support programs for children orphaned by AIDS. Her major work focuses on improving social and economic conditions and reducing poverty.
Dr. Clarisse Croteau-Chonka - Director

Dr. Croteau-Chonka is an experienced consultant working at the intersection of technology, education and business. She is expert on educational initiatives and workforce development at both the local and international level. She serves as a Director of Digital Workforce Education Society, an Illinois Entrepreneurship Network Affiliate, and CEO of andsoitbegins LLC, focused on cutting edge technology and lifelong education design and learning.
